The grid above is the full roster rather than a list for tonight. Who is free at seven, when sightseers tend to get back to their rooms, depends on the hours each therapist set for herself, and those change from one day to the next.

Timing the booking around your return

Give the hour you expect to walk back through the hotel door, not the hour you happen to be writing. A booking made from a café bench at four for half past six is easy to arrange and leaves time for a shower. A booking made the moment you reach the room means a wait of forty to sixty minutes, which some guests spend in the bath and others spend asleep.

What a profile shows

Her age, the languages she speaks, the district she sets out from and her photographs, each one of her and published with her agreement. The rates table repeats on every profile because it is the same for all twenty-three: one guest pays 180 euros for an hour, 270 for ninety minutes, 360 for two hours, 540 for three and 1,250 for a night of eight hours. Languages on the roster

Every one of the twenty-three speaks English, which is the language the booking thread runs in. All but five of them speak one more language or more, five speak two more, and together they cover eleven languages besides English. If a conversation in one of those would make a tired evening easier, say which in your message and the reply will tell you who speaks it.

Where each journey to your door begins

There are no premises, so every journey begins wherever she lives. Six set out from the centre, six from Oud-Zuid beside the museum quarter, six from De Pijp and five from the Jordaan. That spread is why forty to sixty minutes holds across central Amsterdam, wherever the day left you. Naming her

Start with her name; beneath it, give the hotel or street, the date, the hour and the length. The reply says whether she is free, and if she is not, who is free at that hour; the choice stays yours. Each therapist decides which bookings she accepts and what a session includes, tells you her limits before it starts and may end a visit at any point.
