Claire lives in De Pijp, on the side nearest the Sarphatipark, and her evenings usually begin with a ride north to a hotel on the canals. Guests who have spent a day on a hired bicycle ask for her often, because her tantra sessions open slowly, from the feet and calves, and stay slow. French, German and English are all in daily use for her, and she will match whichever one a guest reaches for. At twenty-six she has a dry sense of humour and a steady, patient touch.

Claire decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.
