Schiphol by arrangement means an airport or airport hotel room is booked on its own terms, with the journey time agreed first and half the fee paid ahead.
Some visitors end their trip at a hotel beside the airport, to be close to an early flight. Those rooms are outside the central Amsterdam area, and a booking there works differently from an evening in the city.
The journey is agreed first

Half ahead, always
